All participants are encouraged to present their latest research during the poster session but only BS, MS or PhD level students are eligible for the poster competition.
The poster contributions will be evaluated by a Scientific committee.
3 best posters will be awarded a prize of 300 EUR, 200 EUR, and 100 EUR.
If you are interested in presenting your contribution as a poster, please follow the guidelines below.
Poster guidelines
- Posters should be printed in advance of the School. Printing of posters is not provided by the organisers
- Each poster will be presented on a single board, dimensions are 100 cm (39.4 inches) wide x 200 cm (78.7 inches) high. We recommend to prepare and print a poster of size ISO A0 (84.1 cm x 118.9 cm) or US Arch E (36 in x 48 in) in PORTRAIT orientation on the board.
Note: Avoid landscape orientation for the A0/Arch E formats, as it will be too wide to fit the poster boards. Necessary supplies for mounting the posters (tape, tacks) will be provided.
- Your poster will be on display during the poster session time slot. The presenter should be present and available for questions throughout the whole duration of the poster session.
- Each poster should be designed so that it presents the desired information concisely and in a self-explanatory manner.
- Keep your poster simple and brief.
- Place the title of your work in a prominent position on your poster and keep it short. Include your name and affiliation and information about co-authors.
- Organise your poster materials using headings, such as “Introduction,” “The Research Question,” “The Methodology,” and “Findings.” These headings will help establish a logical flow to your poster.
- Suggested font sizes: For headings, use at least a 48-point font. For text, we suggest to use 18-point font or bigger (for an A0 format).
- Use clean and consistent layout. Effective use of fonts, colors and graphics can boost interest to your research project and help find collaborations.
- Please note that use of any audiovisual equipment is not planned for the ELISS poster presentations.
