Thematic workshops - Part 1

Thematic workshops

The Thematic Workshops are a central feature of the ELI User Meeting (UM), designed as interactive, parallel sessions that foster discussion on key scientific and technological challenges, as well as emerging opportunities. These workshops are not only relevant to the ELI facilities but also aim to engage the broader community of laser facilities and associated research fields.

Each workshop is structured around a series of expert talks, with speakers bringing diverse perspectives from across the field. These presentations will be followed by open discussions, encouraging active participation and the exchange of ideas among attendees.

Workshops will be chaired by ELI experts, who will guide the conversation and ensure that key points are captured. The main conclusions and insights from each workshop will be shared during a dedicated summary session on Friday, 20 June, offering all participants an opportunity to hear the highlights and outcomes of sessions they may not have been able to attend.

These workshops represent a unique opportunity to contribute to the future scientific directions of ELI and to connect with the broader user and research community.

Thematic workshops are scheduled in 2 blocks of 3 parallel sessions on the 18 and 19 June 2025:
