Arriving to Szeged
From the Airport (BUD)
After arriving at Terminal 2A of Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport (previously called Ferihegy Airport), you can take bus No. 200E from the airport to Ferihegy train station. The Budapest-Ferihegy-Cegléd-Kecskemét-Szeged line is served by InterCity trains. A train departs from Ferihegy Station to Szeged every 60 minutes from 06:12 am to 09:12 pm. The journey between Ferihegy Station and Szeged takes 2 hours and 4 minutes.
From Budapest
If you arrive in Budapest by train or other means of transport, we recommend boarding the train at Budapest Nyugati Railway Station, where a train departs every 60 minutes between 05:50 am and 08:50 pm.
Tickets
When buying your train ticket, you can choose from two types of service: standard class and IC class. IC class cars have more comfortable seats and are air-conditioned. Travelling in such cars requires a supplementary ticket. You can claim a student discount if your student ID card was issued in a member state of the European Union or the European Economic Area.
