Join Our Hands-On Workshop: Advanced Analysis of Time-Resolved Spectral Data with KiMoPack.
Unlock the potential of your spectroscopic datasets in this interactive workshop, designed for both beginners and experienced researchers. We will guide you through the process of handling and analyzing time-resolved spectral data—no extensive coding experience required.
What you’ll learn:
Effortless Data Processing: Learn how to load your data into Python and create publication-ready plots, both for individual spectra and comparative analyses.
Powerful Analysis Tools:
Explore Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) and global (target) analysis to extract dynamic information from your datasets.
Multimodal Fusion (if time allows):
Discover how to integrate data from multiple experimental techniques for broader insights.
Comparative Insights:
Discuss similarities and differences in the analysis of optical and X-ray time-resolved spectra.
All analyses will be performed in Python using KiMoPack, an open-source data analysis suite designed to simplify complex workflows.
Training Format:
The workshop will use Jupyter Notebooks for documentation, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises.
Participant Requirements:
- Please bring a laptop (Mac, Windows, or Linux).
- Ensure you have a recent Python installation (Python >3.9 recommended).
- KiMoPack and its dependencies should be installed (instructions will be provided if needed).
- It is recommended that you have opened a Jupyter Notebook before the workshop to confirm your setup works.
- If you’re new to Jupyter Notebooks, we recommend this introductory video (30 minutes): Jupyter Notebook Tutorial: Introduction, Setup, and Walkthrough (YouTube) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4a8CkP6H9vU.
If you need assistance with any of the setup steps, feel free to contact us ahead of the workshop.
