This workshop will focus on tracking a researcher's request from design to the end of production. We will show students the entire design and manufacturing process in detail. The demonstration will be interactive and will take place on a large screen in the ELI2 atrium and will continue in the ELI 2 workshops.
During this interactive excursion, students will be able to touch various devices and tools needed for production, measurement, and assembly.
At the end, we will play a game where students will have to cut a precise piece of material on a drop saw. This experiment will show them that the tolerances we achieve here are not easy to maintain.
