Poster Competition

Student participants are encouraged to present their latest research
during the poster session scheduled for Wednesday 30 August 2023 after the lectures.

The poster contributions will be evaluated by a committee and the 3 best posters
will be awarded a prize of 300 EUR, 200 EUR, and 100 EUR.

If you are interested in presenting your contribution as a poster, please follow the next steps.

Poster guidelines

  • Posters should be electronically generated and printed in advance of the conference.
  • Each poster will be presented on a single board, dimensions are 100 cm (39.4 inches) wide x 200 cm (78.7 inches) high. We recommend to prepare and print a poster of size ISO A0  (84.1 cm x 118.9 cm) or US Arch E (36 in x 48 in) in PORTRAIT orientation on the board.

Note: Avoid landscape orientation for the A0/Arch E formats, as it will be too wide to fit the poster boards. Necessary supplies for mounting the posters (tape, tacks will be provided)

  • Your poster will be on display for approx. 1.5-2-hour time period during which you should be present and available for questions.
  • Your poster should be constructed so that it presents the desired information in a self-explanatory manner.
  • Keep your poster simple and brief.
  • Organize your poster materials using headings, such as “Introduction,” “The Research Question,” “The Methodology,” and “Findings.” These headings will help establish a logical flow to your poster.
  • Suggested font sizes: For headings, use at least a 48-point font. For text, use nothing less than 18-point on an A0 size.
  • Be attentive to the layout and placement of your materials.
  • Place the title of your work in a prominent position on your poster. Include your name and your affiliation
  • Do not plan on using any audiovisual equipment.
