ELI ERIC MSc and PhD Thesis Topic Fair
On Thursday, 27 March 2025 (9:00-14:00), an exchange of research topics related to the implementation of joint MSc and PhD theses between the Universities and the European research infrastructure ELI ERIC will take place as a hybrid meeting at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology.
The topics will be presented by scientists from the two ELI ERIC Facilities, ELI Beamlines in Dolní Břežany (Czechia) and ELI ALPS in Szeged (Hungary). The Master's/Doctoral theses will be realised in a collaboration between the University and ELI ERIC under the supervision of a university employee and the expert supervision of an ELI ERIC Facility employee.
Who Can Join?
- MSc students, PhD students, and their Promoters,
- Enthusiasts of ultra-short pulsed high-power lasers and their applications
- Fans of exotic phenomena induced by extreme power laser pulses,
- Those interested in the fields of: Photonics, Physics, Optoelectronics, Optics, Lasers, High Power Physics, Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Medical Applications of Lasers, and similar.

The Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) is the world’s leading laser-based research infrastructure. It serves cutting-edge research in physical, chemical, materials and medical sciences, as well as breakthrough technological innovations. ELI ERIC provides access to world-class high power and ultra-fast lasers for science and enable cutting-edge research in physical, chemical, materials, and medical sciences, as well as breakthrough technological innovations.
The Czech Republic hosts the ELI ERIC statutory seat in Dolní Břežany, in the South of Prague, at the ELI Beamlines facility. A second facility, ELI ALPS, is hosted by Hungary in Szeged. The Czech Republic and Hungary are joined by Italy and Lithuania as founding members, while Germany and Bulgaria are founding observers. A third ELI facility is being delivered in Romania in the field of nuclear photonics and is expected to complement the current ELI ERIC facilities in the future.
