Description
This work focuses on the fluorescence diagnostics of plasma channels created by intense femtosecond laser pulses. The laser beam is transformed by a reflective axicon into a Bessel beam, which ionizes helium above a 20 cm long gas nozzle. Fluorescence emission was observed using a CMOS camera equipped with a narrow bandpass optical filter to isolate the He I 587.6 nm spectral line. This approach enabled the estimation of electron density as a function of fluorescence intensity along a long plasma channel, which is otherwise difficult to measure using interferometry.
