DESCRIPTION:  IMPULSE Closing Meeting The IMPULSE Closing Meeting will
take place as an in-person event at NH Collection Brussels Grand Sablon in
Brussels\, Belgium\, on 17 April 2024. Governing Board Members will have
the opportunity to meet at their 7th Governing Board Meeting on the same d
ate.Participants are requested to register for the event until 31 March 2
 024. The meetings will be an opportunity to present and discuss the proje
ct's final results with active participation of all partners\, representat
ives of the EC and stakeholders. The preliminary agenda can be found below
and the detailed programme will be published shortly.IMPULSE (Integrated M
anagement and reliable oPerations for User-based Laser Scientific  Excell
ence) is a 42-month project supporting the transition of ELI to sustainabl
e operations. As ELI enters a crucial phase with the establishment of ELI
ERIC and the gradual opening of the ELI Facilities to users\, IMPULSE addr
esses the key scientific\, technical\, organisational and management requi
rements of this transition\, building user communities and expanding the E
LI member consortium. This project is inclusive and open\, and it relies on
the collective effort of a wide consortium involving 14 key institutions
of the European science community. IMPULSE focuses primarily on ELI\, but
its results must have impact beyond the ELI Facilities. The Extreme Light
Infrastructure (ELI) is the world’s leading laser-based research infra
structure. It serves cutting-edge research in physical\, chemical\, materi
als and medical sciences\, as well as breakthrough technological innovatio
ns.On 30 April 2021\, the Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) was granted t
he legal status of European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) by t
he European Commission. ELI ERIC will provide access to world-class high p
ower and ultra-fast lasers for science and enable cutting-edge research in
physical\, chemical\, materials\, and medical sciences\, as well as break
through technological innovations. The Czech Republic hosts the ELI ERIC st
atutory seat in Dolní Břežany\, in the South of Prague\, at the ELI Bea
mlines facility. A second facility\, ELI ALPS\, is hosted by Hungary in S
zeged. The Czech Republic and Hungary are joined by Italy and Lithuania as
founding members\, while Germany and Bulgaria are founding observers. A t
hird ELI facility is being delivered in Romania in the field of nuclear ph
otonics and is expected to complement the current ELI ERIC facilities in t
he future.“The data disseminated in the presentations published on this
event webpage were generated within the framework of the IMPULSE project.
IMPULSE has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 re
search and innovation programme under grant agreement No 871161. The diss
